With my own baby due really soon, the topic of X-Babies (Mojo-manufactured child clones of the X-Men) came to my attention with the latest comic issue #3. I like the artwork and sure they’re cute bundles of mutant joy, but they’re more like toddlers. I guess X-Toddlers doesn’t have the same ring to it as X-Babies does. They’re byproducts of the “going baby” phase everyone did in the 1980s, thanks in part to Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies. I can just imagine Prof. X as Nanny, wearing those striped socks, never seeing his face and doing mind probes on the gang.
