Fire! Wood! Water!

Water! Wood! Wood beats water! When Battle Beasts were first released I collected as many as I could. They were little anthropomorphised animals with body armor and each had a unique weapon. Too bad I can’t find any of them now. I was so into these toys, I’d draw new ones out on graph paper in my free time. The reason I was so into them was probably that they were a spin-off of Transformers, which I also collected like crazy. (Both sets of toys had heat sensitive stickers on them too.) What a great way to take advantage of the already popular game of rock, paper, and scissors.

i love’m! almost bought about 20 of them 2 years ago but opted for the m.a.s.k. figures and iron hide (which i gave to gabe swarr for christmas) the guy wanted 12 bucks for 10 and i didn’t have enough. my problem with them was the arms would break off accidently and the heat stickers would rub off. out of the 6 i had as a boy, 1 remains… without the sticker and an arm. WAAAA!!!!

Man I loved these and like the last poster had some awesome MASK figures, both of which I no longer have any. Battle beasts are the perfect size and design that you could have some at your office desk and people wouldn’t think you were much more of a geek than they probably already do. I might try to ebay some for sheer nostalgia.
ps, Shark was my favorite
