Crazy 4 Cult 2 Pictures and Recap

Enjoy my pictures of the Crazy 4 Cult 2 show! (Through the wonders of technology, my new slideshow has the ability to go full screen.) The Crazy 4 Cult 2 show was phenomenal. Like a fine (cult imbued) wine, the show gets better each year. The quality of the artwork increases as the popularity of the show grows, thanks to some awesome artists and their ever increasing fan base.

I had a blast and saw a few celebrities at the show including Wil Wheaton, who was having a great time seeing all the artwork. I even got a cool picture of him in front of the painting by David MacDowell. (I just noticed that both Wil and David added this photo as a favorite.) I finally met the artist Andrew Wilson too. (I see he’s found my site and is commenting too. Thanks &Rew!) I’ve been following this guy’s artwork for awhile and am always impressed. I will be keeping up with him and recommend you do the same. He does some great work.

I also met Kirk Demarais. He arrived at the show with Dan Goodsell. This was Kirk’s first art show! His piece entitled “The Griswalds” sold quickly and will be offered as a print on Crazy4Cult.com soon. What a lucky guy.

I know the show was again hosted by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier, but heck, I only saw Kevin for just a moment. (He looked a bit warm and worn out. I think he hung out behind the gallery for most of the night, though I never saw him again.) I hope all his fans were able to meet and greet with him. There were tons of people lined up outside Gallery 1988 waiting to get in to check out the artwork, catch a glimpse of their favorite artist, and possibly see a celeb. The line wrapped around the block. This was a very popular show and lots of fun.

It looks like next year’s show will be hosted by Weird Al Yankovic, so I’m definitely pumped for that - 2009’s Crazy 4 Cult 3-D. Be sure to mark your calendars!

A big thanks to all the artists and the Gallery 1988 crew for making this such a wonderfully enjoyable event. It was good to see and meet everyone.
