Andy Capp Hot Fries

Andy Capp's is a brand of flavored corn and potato snack by ConAgra Foods.

These snacks have been a favorite snack of mine for 20+ years; even though I’m not a big fan of the comic strip. The Hot Fries are my favorite flavor and I can polish of a bag easily, but I usually don’t. The MSG gives it a salty punch and the paprika and garlic powder give it a spicy kick. (So it’s like a one-two crunchy combo in your mouth.) When I used to go backpacking, I’d take a bag of these with me to snack on. File these under junk food since they’ve got no meaningful quantity of vitamins or important dietary minerals, but I like them and they sure are tasty.

This is my son and my secret vice! The one drawback is the salt is so high you have to empty the reservoir afterward.

i’m with you on this one. You can actually hear the screams from inside the bag when i’m reaching for one. The hot fries are the absolute best, but the cheddar fries are in a close second.

The cool thing about being in Lancaster, PA is that I can usually find large, 1lb, bulk size bags of these at any bulk type food store. AMAAAZING(ly bad for you)!!

I love the orange-spice-finger-syndrome that follows polishing off a bag…much better than cheetos-orange-finger…

a friend of mine would eat hot fries every day. it was disgusting. they maybe good for you, but i’d take the cheddar fries anyday.

I will tell you, Andy capps hot fries are the best chips ever made. they may have a cheesy finger after math, but its worth it exept michigans own better made, chips do not get better.

Avoid the cheesy finger, pour them straight into your mouth. It’s the best way to eat any kind of food that has its flavor dusted on.
