A Rift in My Grimoire

One of my favorite tactical RPG games is about to release a sequel. Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift will be released in the U.S. June 24, 2008 for the suggested retail price of $39.99(USD). I really enjoyed playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and to a lesser extent, Revenant Wings. I guess I’m just a sucker for grid-based battle games with oodles of character jobs to choose from. Do like your characters to be jump-happy Dragoons, life-saving White Mages or are you more of a pocket-picking Ninja? What’s your favorite character class in Final Fantasy and why?

I suppose I would have one, but I never had the patience to learn all the classes and go through all the miscellaneous battles to build up my characters. FFT: The War of the Lions for PSP (re-make of FFT for PSX) was my one shot at a Final Fantasy Tactics game. It just didn’t capture me. I like turn-based tactics games, but for some reason FFT just didn’t do it for me.
The Nintendo versions may suit me better, but I will never know.
Others tactics games that I recommend (on the blasphemous PSP):
Jeanne d’Arc (really enjoyed this one)
Wild ARMS XF (decent runner-up)

After about an hour of scrolling through text with no saves I died in the first battle of FF Tactics Advanced, and never touched the game again. It might be a decent game. I’ll never know.
