Scrappy

I was looking through our good friend Dan Goodsell’s collection of wonderful Flickr photos and I came across this Scrappy candy wrapper. This little round-headed boy reminded me of Mickey Mouse and Astro Boy. I wasn’t familiar with this cute cartoon character from the 1930’s, so I decided to look up some info on him. Then I found a great site that exuded all things Scrappy - Harry McCracken’s Scrappyland.

I’d like to watch some of his films, but the only video of a Scrappy cartoon I found has no audio. It’s still entertaining with it’s old school charm and simple merriment.
