Since it’s almost Halloween, I thought I’d mention a classic Popeye cartoon with a Halloween theme. Fright to the Finish came out in the mid 1950′s and is full of gags, pranks and plenty of the male machismo that you’d expect in this cartoon. Popeye and Bluto fight over Olive by trying to scare each other. Interestingly enough, there isn’t any spinach eating or fisticuffs in this episode. But what Halloween cartoon would be complete without a jar of vanishing cream? It always does the trick.
