Oh, yeah! :)
I must mention the Polish steampunk comic "Staś i Nel" and "Pierwsza brygada" ('First brigade'). It features characters for the most common school lectures living in the XIX/XX century (before the First World War) mixed in the real Polish history and real historical characters (e.g. Piłsudski - a man who gained independence for Poland). It was fakely announced as the strip from the discovered real old magazine from 1913. The found issues are incomplete, partially damaged (e.g. it starts from the 51st issue, previous ones are "lost"), what gives the amazing feeling... Here it is: http://republika.pl/steampunk/piechur/ - the links to the comics are on the "sticker" on the top left of the "magazine", or look at this issue: http://republika.pl/steampunk/piechur/spotkanie2.html - nice? :)
