Gamma Bros
Gamma Bros is a wonderfully done, full-length space shooter game that reminds me of classic arcade games like Galaga and Robotron. You can play it online with Flash or download and play it - for free. Use your A,W,S,D keys to fire in 4 directions and the arrow keys to move (or you can reconfigure the keys). This 8-bit pixel game is really fun to play and is pretty challenging. The alien ships, that attack you, change over time and can surprise you when they pop-up from different directions. As you play, you’ll find the flowing sounds will bring you back to the “beep-boop” games of yesteryear.
The Gamma Bros team is Richard Grillotti as artist, Miles Tilmann as programmer and Mark Denardo does the music & sound FX. These guys have a long list of games that they plan on creating, so keep an eye on them and the Pixeljam blog, they’re just getting started.
