King’s Quest III Reborn

What was once old is now reborn. King’s Quest III VGA (remake) was released (for download) yesterday by Infamous Adventures. King’s Quest III: To Heir Is Human is the third installment in the King’s Quest series of computer games that was originally produced by Sierra On-Line back in 1986. Marvel at the 16 color backgrounds and the enhanced close up cut-scenes as you groove to the original music. Re-experience the adventure with a stunning new interface (no more typing) and if you never played it, you’ll probably enjoy it anyway.
I remember borrowing the original game from a friend to play and because of the “copy-protection scheme” in place I needed to borrow the manual too. The game would ask you a random question that could only be answered by the manual. Also, while we’re on the topic of classic adventure gaming, check out my previous post about Thy Dungeonman 3.

This was the first computer game I ever played. I typed obscene words into it just to see what would happen. It said I must have been raised by a naughty wizard.

But is being brought up by a naughty wizard all that bad? I mean think of the benefits.
