G.I. Joe Pocket Patrol Pack
Sat, May 20th, 2006

It was marketed as “A great way to carry G.I. Joe to the battlefield”, but I kept all of mine in sandwich baggies. Those darn packs could only hold 4 or 5 guys at a time and how can a battle be fought with only a handful of guys. Having the ability to clip this unwieldy plastic box to your belt, was a bonus. If you tried wearing this thing, it greatly decreased your mobility, but all the kids thought it was cool and that was the key. I know this toy came out in the early 80s, but was that how we dressed back in those days?

I never did venture that far with the figures, at least not far enough to necessitate a handy strap on plastic fanny pak. I kept all mine on the deck of the freaking huge aircraft carrier that my parents bought me for the one Christmas where they went temporarily insane. It replaced the table in our dining room for three years.
