Quisp

Quisp and Quunchy save the day

This silly cartoon was produced by John Kricfalusi and Spümcø. Quisp was originally released in 1966 in the U.S. by The Quaker Oats Company. The sugary sweet cereal disappeared from grocery shelves in the late 70s, but was re-introduced in the 90s in limited distribution. The original creators are Jay Ward and Bill Scott of Rocky and Bullwinkle fame.

I’m afraid I was never allowed to eat sugary cereal when I was a kid, but I did watch Rocky and Bullwinkle each Sunday. What fun!

Aw man, I haven’t seen that in years, and I wish it would have stayed that way! No seriously, we had a lot of fun doing this project. I can see all the mistakes now, but it was tons of fun to draw those characters! I wish they would make more of those cartoons!
