Nolan Bushnell Praises Nintendo Revolution
Gamasutra has an article with Nolan’s praises to the distinctive design of the Revolution controller.
“The 3D controller that Nintendo is on to is a very good idea. If you look at today’s controller with triangles, Xs, squares and circles, it’s scary. It’s like a keyboard. People are interface-phobic.”
I definitely agree that the continued complexity of games has lost the casual gamer. The wider game market is being ignored by the other game consoles. I guess we will see how warm a reception the Revolution will get next year.
It also mentions that Bushnell’s latest venture, in the gaming space, is a new pizzeria in Los Angeles called Media Bistro. At each diner’s table will feature a touch screen monitor where they can place their order and communicate with fellow diners.
I can see it now… greasy fingers all over the screen, trying to woo the cutie a few tables over…
