There is a neat article over at the New York Times entitled “Making Artists: Video Games Are Their Major, So Don’t Call Them Slackers”. It’s a good little read about how video games and their makers will be the soon be the dominant media. It also mentions on how the game industry is in need of new talent and direction. More universities are embracing this new curriculum. Institutions like Parsons and U.S.C. try to give students both the technical and academic backgrounds to become working game designers.

It’s comes to no surprise to me. I know that games are becoming a major part of our lives. It’s all fun and games.
