Reconnaissance Elmo

A story over at Engadget about a tech-savy toy for tots: “Know Your Name Elmo”. Unlike the previous iterations of the Elmo plush toy, this version comes complete with a CD full of software and USB cable. All this thing needs is wireless connection and I can just imagine it laying on the floor in the kids room doing reconnaissance.
Elmo: This is Elmo calling home-base. This kid doesn’t have any Elmo accessories. Send Big Bird and Oscar over for backup…
I can also imagine the kid entering the room when mommy has Elmo jacked into the computer and totally freaking the kid out.
